Rights, copyright & terms.

All audio productions created by AudiobookMasters are protected by copyright. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ABM holds the copyright in the master recording, while underlying literary rights in a work remain with the author or their publisher.

Licences for use, broadcast, syndication, or placement of our productions are granted in writing. If you believe any production on Utlwa or distributed by ABM infringes your rights, contact us with the details and we will investigate promptly.

Policy statement: AudiobookMasters respects intellectual property rights and expects its partners, authors, and platform users to do the same. We investigate all formal copyright infringement claims regarding content hosted on Utlwa or distributed via our publishing channels.

To file a copyright infringement claim, rights holders or authorised legal representatives must submit a written notice to info@audiobookmasters.co.za containing the following:

Counter-notice & resolution procedure: upon receiving a valid notice, ABM will temporarily restrict access to the flagged content while conducting a 14-day legal review. If a valid counter-notice is provided, content may be reinstated pending legal resolution.

1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
2. Identification of the specific material/audio title on Utlwa or ABM channels to be removed, including exact URLs or app catalogue titles.
3. Contact details of the claimant — Full Name, Company/Estate, Physical Address, Telephone Number, and Email.
4. Proof of copyright ownership, and a formal statement that the claimant has a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that the claimant is authorised to act on behalf of the owner.

We license productions to partners for defined uses and territories — including in-flight programming, digital libraries, and branded content. Each licence sets out the scope, term, and territory of use.

Partners receive master files fit for their platform and are responsible for the use of those files within the agreed scope. Sub-licensing without written consent is not permitted.

We collect the information you give us through this site — such as contact form submissions — to respond to enquiries and, where you ask us to, to deliver services. We do not sell personal information.

Messages submitted through the contact form are stored for the purpose of responding to you and managing our working relationship. You may ask us to correct or remove your details at any time.

Utlwa is a separate platform with its own terms. Use of the Utlwa platform is governed by the terms published at utlwa.africa, which take precedence for that service.
